163 Egham was opened in 1984 as a bar that would combine good quality, uncomplicated food in an informal setting complimented by a wide selection of well chosen, realistically priced wines and beers.

It has developed over the intervening years to include several additions to the original 30 cover “front room” and now comfortably seats 70 downstairs with and additional 50 upstairs in the privately available Balcony Room.

In late 2000 the idea was recreated in what used to be The Old Town Hall in Chertsey, the perfect venue for the next opening.

The building was carefully restored to offer the now familiar 163 style in slightly more grand surroundings creating a wonderful space for parties and special nights out whilst still retaining the "drop in" charm of Egham.

Both restaurants have outside seating, Egham with its wonderful secret Mediterranean garden at the rear and Chertsey, which has ground floor seating throughout the summer in our covered arcade where, weather permitting, we also hold the occasional al fresco jazz evenings to complement the regular monthly events held upstairs.

With free Wi-Fi and private rooms at both restaurants they make the ideal setting for meetings or larger parties. Please contact the relevant venue for details.

Chertsey 10.00 am to midnight, Monday to Saturday.
